What's new in this release

WebReports 5.1 provides significant new and improved capabilities over earlier versions, as well as a number of bug fixes and support resolutions. It is a recommended upgrade for all customers.

 

Records Management

  • New RMACTION sub-tag to perform Records Management related actions to change values in Records Detail tab.
  • New EMAILINFO sub-tag allows access to meta data from Livelink Explorer E-Mail Integration module
  • New POCOPY sub-tag allows access to physical copy data as seen on the Circulation tab of Physical Items

Trigger events

  • New “Initiate WebReport” form submission mechanism allows a WebReport to execute immediately after a form submission has occurred
  • New user and group WR Trigger feature allows WebReports to be initiated based on user or group events
  • Enhancement to the node based WR Trigger feature to allow a WebReport to be displayed immediately following the trigger event
  • Enhancement to WR Trigger so that move and copy operations result in the WebReport triggering on both the source and destination hierarchy. Previously only the source hierarchy caused the trigger to fire

Data Sources

  • New FTP data source and destination
  • New “Run As” feature and associated Privilege allow specific WebReports to always run as predetermined users

Tabs, Menus & Interface

  • New TABS sub-tag returns the tab names and associated URLs of the node it is applied to
  • New LLURL option allows the ADDITEM menu to be dumped in the internal Livelink representation.
  • New LLURL:FUNCTIONMENU:RAW option returns the internal Livelink representation of the function menu. Optional SPACE parameter shows breaks for function menu sections
  • CAT:RAW dumps a flat “reportable” internal Livelink representation of the categories and attributes associated with a node
  • New FEATURED option for LLURL renders the featured items pane the same as presented in the browse interface
  • New USERPREF sub-tag returns user preferences as shown from the “Settings” quick link

JSON

  • New functionality to allow LAPI function calls through JSON
  • New JSON option for NODEINFO sub-tag

Node Action

  • NODEACTION enhanced to support new ADDVER option for adding version to existing nodes
  • NODEACTION enhanced to support new PROMOTE option to create a new major version of a document node

General

  • New CATACTION sub-tag allows updates of categories and attributes from the WebReport
  • Significant performance improvements to CAT, LLURL and NODEINFO sub-tags
  • Support for major and minor versions in export to Livelink
  • New TIMESINCE sub-tag allows the date and time difference to be established between 2 dates
  • New TZOFFSET sub-tag allows dates to be changed from server time to the local time of the user
